Package: syslog-ng Version: 2.0.8~1-1 Severity: important User: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Usertags: missing-dependency
Hello, I've just enabled dependency based ordering of the initscripts via insserv. Since this change, syslog-ng fails to stop at shutdown process: it is already stopped by the sendsigs, and /var is not available any longer. This can simply be fixed by adding a dependency on $remote_fs to both Required-Start and Required-Stop. Please see the Petter Reinholdtsens comments on the initscripts-ng-devel mailinglist regarding this issue: http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/initscripts-ng-devel/2008-April/000528.html greetings, jonas -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.24-8-amd64-resivo (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages syslog-ng depends on: ii libc6 2.7-10 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii lsb-base 3.2-7 Linux Standard Base 3.2 init scrip Versions of packages syslog-ng recommends: ii logrotate 3.7.1-3 Log rotation utility -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
