Since the lua, tolua, and related files where not being generated after the patches, I investigated further and found two issues that seems the remaining problems:
1. I forgot to ask you to depend on liblualib50-dev 2. Perhaps a typo, or copy-paste problem: in debian/patches/04_changing_makefile_tolua.dpatch, line 12, there is two sign symbols (++) starting the sentence, instead of one (+). That is making the generated make file (by patching) to be improperly created, which derives into a missing including directoy at compile time.
