Newer version of the software have an valid option (ENABLE=true in /etc/default/icecast2) to start the deamon when the system boots. This didn't work on the version I had when I submitted the script; however, it works well now. In my opinion, attach the script to documentation of the package is not needed today. -- Stéphane.
