Are you sure? It works for me:
% /usr/bin/crm -u ~/tmp/crm /usr/share/crm114/mailreaver.crm --stats_only
bla bla

I'd say it works as documented in crm114 README and mailreaver.crm.
Note the argument is actually --stats_only, not --stats-only.
