I'm not sure I agree that this is a problem. K, k, KB, Kb, kb are all
often used to refer to the same thing.

I agree that consistency is nice; but in the context of the progress
bar, horizontal space is at a premium. I'd prefer to avoid KB where K is
more than clear enough.

Note that, now that there's an IEC standard for such things, there's a
case to be made that Wget should be using the suffix "Ki" (for
"kibibyte") in all its current cases. I'm not convinced that that would
result in improved understanding of Wget messages, though.
