Package: gnash Version: 0.8.2-1 Followup-For: Bug #472261 I think I've figured out the problem. It seems that in the default alsa configuration, sound is routed through a plug device which does format conversions. My config routes sound directly to the hardware, which only supports a few fixed formats.
So either the gstreamer alsasink plugin fails to properly report the hardware limitations, or gnash fails to properly convert the audio.
