Package: dnsmasq Version: 2.41-2 When installing dnsmasq and resolvconf, the nameserver is set to 127.0.0.1, and dnsmasq tries to use that. This obviously doesn't work.
/etc/dnsmasq.conf should therefore by default set resolv-file=/var/run/dnsmasq/resolv.conf if resolvconf is installed, or the binary should use it as default instead of /etc/resolv.conf. There are several ways to make sure it works both with and without resolvconf installed. I don't really care which one is chosen, as long as it works in both situations. :-) Thanks, Bas -- I encourage people to send encrypted e-mail (see http://www.gnupg.org).
