Package: vobcopy
Version: 1.1.0-1
Severity: normal
If vobcopy is run with the .vob.partial file already existing (after a previous
failure for example) it prompts to
overwite the existing file, but it doesn't work:
[Info] Outputting to /usr/local/src/vobcopy-1.1.0/MNT0EFM116-1.vob
[Error] File '/usr/local/src/vobcopy-1.1.0/MNT0EFM116-1.vob.partial' already
exists, [o]verwrite, [a]ppend, [q]uit?

[Error] Write() error
[Error] It's possible that you try to write files
[Error] greater than 2GB to filesystem which
[Error] doesn't support it? (try without -l)
[Error] Error: Bad file descriptor
examining the code we see around line 1017 in vobcopy.c:
if( op == 'o' )
{
if( ( streamout = open( output_file, O_WRONLY |
O_TRUNC ) ) < 0 )
{
fprintf( stderr, "\n[Error] Error opening
file %s\n", output_file );
fprintf( stderr, "[Error] Error: %s\n",
strerror( errno ) );
exit ( 1 );
}
else
close (streamout); <==== WFT!!!
overwrite_flag = TRUE;
future writes to streamout don't work (obviously)
