Thanks for your report. Yes, we should use x-terminal-emulator instead,
which will pick an available terminal program.

Don't you have some GUI thing for displaying man pages?

Back in Gnome 1.4, "gnome-help-browser man:qix" worked, but they broke that in Gnome 2.2. As of Gnome 2.6.3, "yelp" was still unable to display man pages. I have no idea what the "state of the art" is now.

You can see the various possibilities iterated in XScreenSaver.ad.in, depending on the values of various configure.in macros.

When you fix this, please do so by adding a new stanza to configure.in and XScreenSaver.ad.in.
