The bug i reported _does_ exist.

Not as filed, no. You weren't asking nicely to look into any symptoms, nor specified any glyphs you lacked - you were complaining about usage of non-existent fonts and license issues.

I'd guess you probably really wanted to complain about bug #467610, which is still open, and you can rant in there (along with the others) if you like. (Unless, of course, the problem is that Wine somehow can't load Tahoma at all...) Following the link to the upstream bug report may also be informative.

FWIW, they've added Cyrillic to Tahoma in 0.9.57, so there's progress. (I still need to get around to packaging it, though...)

And if you're fine with packages from contrib, you can install msttcorefonts, chances should then be high that Arial is chosen instead of a "random font".

With more information on the other changes, that must be made to
Dejavu Sans to make it suitable for use with WINE i may be able to
futer edit it and provide more suitable replacement Tahoma than the
currently used one.

Feel free to contribute to Wine's Tahoma. The Wine developers would welcome the help.
