Hmhm, you mean it crashes only when you select the second panel? What if
you first select the “Panel 2” to configure? Does it crashes too?

If you re-run xfce4-panel (Alt+F2, xfce4-panel), is the panel correctly
positionned? If you run xfce4-panel from a terminal, do you see some
output when it crashes?
