Package: fping Version: 2.4b2-to-ipv6-10 Severity: normal The meant-to-be infinite loop with '-l' breaks when the route on the local system to the target host disappears. This is surely not the desired behaviour, since it breaks the loop that is assumed to be infinite; moreover, it differentiates between the facts that the route to the target is broken on the local host, or somewhere further.
