Package: libdebian-package-make-perl Version: 0.03~pre Severity: wishlist Hi,
I had accidentally mis-built my version number to include a newline which caused a rather unhelpful error deep inside File::Copy that didn't tell me which file it wasn't able to rename. Please consider checking for non-printing and otherwise illegal chars in file names and version numbers and bomb out early with a clear error message.
