No, it doesn't: the case was already broken, as I explained.
I hope you reconsider. I find Zile a very good editor, and it'd be a pity I had to avoid it whenever I have to write in my native language (Catalan).
Since Zile doesn't display the characters you want except in 8-bit locales, I'm puzzled as to why you'd want to edit Catalan in a UTF-8 locale with Zile. I have occasion to write in French, German &c. and don't use Zile for this for precisely this reason; if I did use Zile it would be in an ISO-8859-1 locale.
