Not finding gs-esp is the usual cause of the error.
In /etc/cups/cupsd.conf, set LogLevel to debug, and reload cups
('/etc/init.d/cupsys reload'). If you make sure gs-esp is installed,
and print a test page, what do you get in the log
(/var/log/cups/error_log)?
