Hi Marcus, > Thanks for submitting this. Is there documentation on the transient > stuff, so that one can try to properly understand it? I think the best source is the EWMH-Specs. The relevant piece would be Implementing enhanced support for application transient windows If the WM_TRANSIENT_FOR property is set to None or Root window, the window should be treated as a transient for all other windows in the same group. It has been noted that this is a slight ICCCM violation, but as this behavior is pretty standard for many toolkits and window managers, and is extremely unlikely to break anything, it seems reasonable to document it as standard. from: http://standards.freedesktop.org/wm-spec/wm-spec-1.4.html#id2512420 Greetings, Joachim -- Joachim "nomeata" Breitner Debian Developer [EMAIL PROTECTED] | ICQ# 74513189 | GPG-Keyid: 4743206C JID: [EMAIL PROTECTED] | http://people.debian.org/~nomeata
