Thank you for the bugreport. I agree with your judgement.

Unfortunately, it seems from their handling of this bugreport (silently 
redirecting it from linux-2.6 to yaird) it seems that the kernel-team 
disagrees.

The kernel team (and Max in particular) and I do not interpret the core 
requirements of a ramdisk generator similarly, which has caused us to 
fail communicating sanely with each other in general, it seems. I have 
given up on them and is no longer myself part of the kernel team. It is 
my impression that they have given up on me and yard as well.

Really a shame, but I don't see how this obvious bug in the interaction 
between kernels and yaird can be solved at the yaird end.

Tagging as wontfix for now, for the above reason. 

Feel free to move this bug back to linux-2.6 where it IMHO belongs, or 
request help from others to mediate. I just won't take the time to do it 
myself.
