OK, I've now tried gdb-trunk and gdb-6.5 on both Etch and Lenny. Both
gdb's fail to detect ObjC files on Lenny yet succeed on Etch. Therefor

OK, I won't go so far as to call it a gcc bug quite yet even though the
it seems to be variable. I've installed and tested
gobjc-4.1 - gdb/objc detection works 4.1.3 20071209 (prerelease)
gobjc-4.2 - gdb/objc detection fails 4.2.3 20080114 (prerelease)
gobjc-4.3 - gdb/objc detection fails 4.3.0 20080116 (experimental)
Any pointers into where I should continue to investigate would be
appreciated.
For now I'll try gcc 4.2 svn branch to see if I can determine the commit
that caused the failure... assuming the bottom of the branch still
worked... Which I guess will the the first thing I'll check.
