Dear maintainer,

I'm currently trying to squash up packages which have incorrectly
encoded debian/changelog files (see
http://lintian.debian.org/reports/Tdebian-changelog-file-uses-obsolete-national-encoding.html).

UTF-8 encoded changelog and control files is a lenny release goal,
which means that NMUs are OK for such packages.

However, your package seems to have some "recent" activity (say, less
than a year...) and I prefer announcing this intent in case you prefer
fixing this yourself.

In the case I receive no answer in the next days, I will NMU the
package anyway as this very easy to fix issue should be picked up ASAP
so that people dealing with QA tasks can move to something else.
