Package: iptables Version: 1.3.8.0debian1-1 Priority: whislist I send this bug after reading through #434107. Even though the init.d script provided in that bug report was rejected a better move, that is bound to be explain why the iptables package does not include any init.d script.
I did not find the README.Debian file provided in older releases confusing, so I don't understand why was it removed in 1.3.5.0debian1-1. It actually did a good job at directing users and answering why no init.d script was provided. Regards Javier
