Package: kvm
Version: 58+dfsg-1
Severity: wishlist

I use KVM to create an isolated virtual machine, which has network
access through a tap device to the Internet but not to my internal
network. The host machine *does* have access to my internal network.
I'd like to use the -redir or -smb options, but these options require
"-net user", which allows outgoing access equivalent to that of the
host machine.

Just as -redir and -smb extend the virtual network inside KVM, I'd
really like KVM to separate out the gateway functionality and make
that optional as well; that way, I could let KVM create an internal
network with an SMB server or a redirected port, without actually
routing any traffic outside that virtual network.
