The assertion failure only happens with "pulseaudio --system", run as root,
with pulseaudio reporting the following:
E: x11wrap.c: XOpenDisplay() failed
E: module.c: Failed to load module "module-x11-publish" (argument: ""):
initialization failed.
E: main.c: Module load failed.
then, when the client tries to connect:
W: protocol-native.c: Denied access to client with invalid authorization data.
When pulseaudio is started from an X terminal or after X access control is
disabled, all is well.
