Thanks for your report. I'm afraid I can't do much about the bug. That
call is most probably pstotext, which is called by index++, which is called by
dhelp. So the bug is probably either in gs or perhaps in pstotext.
In any case, I can't even reproduce, it works for me (takes around 1
minute and lots of CPU, but not much memory).
I'd reassign to gs, probably.
