gnutar (linked to /bin/star_fat) segfaults when called with --mode. It's
not relevant if --mode has a valid argument (or no argument at all).
This happens at least on amd64(testing) and i386(stable).
Sample gnutar calls which segault:
gnutar -c --mode="ugo=rwx" -f /dev/null /dev/random
gnutar -c --mode="Some Random String" -f /dev/null /dev/random
gnutar -c --mode -f /dev/null /dev/random
