Package: kernel-package
Version: 8.132
Severity: wishlist

make-kpkg is annoying at times when you need to do a minor modification.
I'll give an example. Say I'm configuring Framebuffer for my notebook
and I enabled i810fb as a module. After compilation and rebooting into
the new kernel I come to know that I need fbcon to be compiled
statically into the kernel or vice versa.

make-kpkg won't allow me to proceed with the package building without
doing a make-kpkg clean. If make-kpkg is designed to do so, how can one
enjoy the benefit of makefiles ?

I suggest we could have a "make-kpkg clean-all" option which would clean
every thing whereas "make-kpkg clean" would only be to do minor cleanups
specific to package building on Debian.

Regards,
