Package: gnunet
Version: 0.7.2c-4

Hi!

Here are a few improvements that could be made when packaging
GNUnet 0.7.3 (not only gnunet but gnunet-gtk and gnunet-qt too)
- these have been discussed with the development team.

First, for 0.7.3, every gnunet-* package should strictly depend
on 0.7.3 or higher GNUnet packages, for example gnunet-gtk 0.7.3
should require gnunet-common >= 0.7.3 and so on. This is because
symbols were largely renamed in libgnunet*, which are used by all
clients, and by the server. In the future, upper versions may still be
compatible with 0.7.3. If they aren't, the same requirements will have
to be set and we will tell you so.

Second, gnunet-gtk 0.7.3 is now able to use libgksu2 to grant root
privileges to gnunet-setup, (from gnunet-tools package)
from the GUI. So it could be nice if you builded gnunet-gtk
using ./configure --enable-libgksu2. Ygnunet-gtk will then depend
on the libgksu2 package, on on libgksu2-dev for compilation. Optionnally,
--with-libnotify could also be used, enabling user notifications when
some events happen (download...) - this requires libnotify and libnotify-dev.
These packages are installed in most graphical desktops and thus don't
really add strong requirements.

Third, maybe gnunet-gtk could put its icon in the menu.

This is all you need to make us happy... ;-)

But I have to thank you for your responsiveness to users' bugs
and you quick packaging of new GNUnet versions.
Great work !
