The program is laptop_mode, but the conf file is

laptop-detect program, so I'd suggest making the command laptop-mode.
If you make this change, you'd probably want to have both names for a
while for compatibility.
Hi Eric,
Thanks for the suggestion. I'm tagging this wontfix. I'll give you the
reasons:
First of all, it's extremely cosmetic and will cause *way* more trouble
than it's worth. Basically, I'll never be able to get rid of the old
name because somebody *might* be using it. Worse: the script is used
from config files shipped with laptop-mode-tools. If I ever get rid of
the /usr/sbin/laptop_mode name, all of the old config files will
suddenly stop working -- very bad for people who have adapted them. No
point in breaking people's systems for cosmetic reasons only.
Secondly, the /usr/sbin/laptop_mode is an "internal command", not really
intended to be used externally (you should use "invoke-rc.d laptop-mode
reload"), and not in the path of anybody except root. If anything, it
should be moved to a /usr/share location, which I won't do because it
will break backward compatibility just as hard.
In short, it's *way* too much breakage for something as cosmetic as
this. But thanks for reporting. :-)
Cheers,
Bart
