Package: openntpd Version: 3.9p1-3 Severity: normal Hello
After activating the "-s" option in /etc/default/openntpd the processes seems not to start correctly any more. They do no longer print "engine started" in syslog and look strange in ps output: ntpd 29931 0.0 0.1 3148 932 pts/0 S 13:29 0:00 /usr/sbin/ntpd -s root 29961 0.0 0.0 3248 292 ? Ss 13:30 0:00 /usr/sbin/ntpd -s They stayed in this state for at least 10 minutes now. Without the "-s" option the server starts. This is reproducible on at least 3 servers with 2 different NTP upstream servers here. bye, -christian- -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Kernel: Linux 2.6.21-2-686 Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=ISO-8859-15) (ignored: LC_ALL set to [EMAIL PROTECTED]) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
