I would like to request the creation of a new mailing list:

Rationale:
Digital cameras are now everywhere. Quite a lot of Debian developers
and users have a digital camera, and have photography as a hobby. Sticking
to free software for this hobby can be challenging, since the software
is not as polished and slick as for OS X and Windows, and in some cases
is missing or just barely functional: color management for screens and
printers, for example, has only just started to appear.
Thus, a forum in which Debian people can share experiences about using
software in Debian for photography, and perhaps discuss what additional
software could be packaged, and how existing packages could be improved
to make the life of a photographer easier.

Using software in Debian for photography, and discussion about problems
and challenges and opportunities related to that. All parts of the
photographic process are on topic: controlling the camera, transferring
pictures to the computer, managing, editing, converting, printing,
uploading, displaying, etc.
For bandwidth and disk space reasons, it is not, however, appropriate
to send images to the list. Put them on a web site and include the URL
in a mail sent to the list instead.
