Package: pommed
Version: 1.13~dfsg-2
Severity: normal

The default volume change "beep" sound is really annoying. Before I
looked into pommed and its configuration, I thought there were some
hardware problems or a bug in the keyboard handling, because the beep
didn't really sound like a beep.

Please try to find some free "blip" or "blop" sound, like the one in
Mac OS X, which is nicer. It really is annoying when watching a DVD
or other video (where the sound is usually quiet) and then press the
volume buttons and the "beep" sound is extremely loud.

Disabling the beep in the default config or using a more subtle sound
would be desirable, IMHO.

Thanks,
Thomas
