Package: debhelper Version: 5.0.61 Severity: wishlist Adding symbol information for packages like gcc which builds 10 library packages, where most of the version information is different for the architecture adds about 100 version files in the debian directory, which doubles the number of files in debian/. Please add an option to search the symbol files in a subdirectory inside debian. dpkg-gensymbols already provides the -I option.
