Package: libpam-cracklib Version: 0.99.7.1-5 This is a feature request for the "minclass" option in pam_cracklib.so
I attempted to use the minclass option in /etc/pam.d/common-password as described here: http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/libs/pam/Linux-PAM-html/sag-pam_cracklib.html According to the cover page the manual is for v 0.99.7.0: http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/libs/pam/Linux-PAM-html/Linux-PAM_SAG.html Although I note the option is not mentioned in the Debian distributed libpam-doc: /usr/share/doc/libpam-doc/html/sag-pam_cracklib.html My config file was as follows: # /etc/pam.d/common-password - password-related modules common to all services password required pam_cracklib.so retry=3 minlen=8 difok=3 minclass=3 and the bug message: /var/log/auth.log:Dec 4 10:58:47 noclient passwd[20453]: pam_cracklib(passwd:chauthtok): pam_parse: unknown option; minclass=3 -- e: [EMAIL PROTECTED] If you receive this email by mistake, please notify us and do not make any use of the email.
