Package: lighttpd Version: 1.4.18-1 Followup-For: Bug #386568 Hi !
I have the same problem here. Putting an alias has no effect when using it from localhost : alias.url += ( "/test/" => "/var/tmp/test/" ) However, this works : $HTTP["remoteip"] == "127.0.0.1" { alias.url += ( "/test/" => "/var/tmp/test/" ) } I have no problem accessing the alias when using my machine name instead of localhost to access the site. I can also comment alias.url in lighttpd.conf: $HTTP["remoteip"] == "127.0.0.1" { # alias.url += ( # "/doc/" => "/usr/share/doc/", # "/images/" => "/usr/share/images/" # ) $HTTP["url"] =~ "^/doc/|^/images/" { dir-listing.activate = "enable" } } My hostname is associated to an IP in /etc/hosts: 127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost 192.168.116.1 neo.luffy.cx neo However, this hosts file works fine too: 127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost neo I still get access using http://neo... But http://localhost still gives a 404.
