Package: audacious
Version: 1.4.0-1
Severity: wishlist

Audacious should support multiple genre/artist tags. This is
'encouraged' by Ogg Vorbis:

http://xiph.org/ogg/vorbis/doc/v-comment.html:

  Field names are not required to be unique (occur once) within a
  comment header. As an example, assume a track was recorded by three well
  know[n] artists; the following is permissible, and encouraged:

  ARTIST=Dizzy Gillespie
  ARTIST=Sonny Rollins
  ARTIST=Sonny Stitt

And it's also supported by ID3v2.4.0:
http://id3.org/id3v2.4.0-frames
4.2.   Text information frames

All text information frames supports multiple strings, stored as a null
separated list [...]

This is very useful for databases (is genre "Folk Rock" the same as
"Rock Folk" and "Folk, Rock"?), with a huge benefit for the user.
For example, I have lots of music tagged as "Vocal, Jazz, Swing".
(e.g. Frank Sinatra) as opposed to "Jazz, Swing, Big Band" (e.g. Count
Basie). There are of course songs that are a fusion of Jazz and Funk...
and so on. It's so much more useful to be able to assign them multiple
genres! Especially for not having to decide if a song is "Funk", "Jazz"
or "Funky Jazz", but just being able to say "yeah, it's both Jazz and
Funk somewhat"...
