No I disagree, it definitely should NOT do so. Any user can start this, and we know what happens with Linux when it goes out of memory:

About the maximum addressable memory being hardcoded, can you check if that's still the case for the new version?

It is good it shows some usage information without any parameter. I will not fix
this bug.
