I thought so, too, but when I tested it didn't work.
However, I just tested again - and it now did - very strange.

The first time I tried it warned but then failed to delete
the file. The second time it worked. Might this have
anything to do with the fact that I logged out and in
between tries ?

It solves the immediate problem, yes, so this wishlist bug
can be closed.
