Aehmmm, there is something fishy here, can you send us the output of
grep -l omega /etc/texmf/fmt.d/*
that should list AT LEAST /etc/texmf/fmt.d/10texlive-omega.cnf. If it
lists ANOTHER file, please send us this file.
Then we would need the output of
kpsewhich -var-value TEXMFSYSVAR
kpsewhich -var-value TEXMFSYSCONFIG
and
TEXMFVAR=/var/lib/texmf TEXMFCONFIG=/etc/texmf kpsewhich -format='web2c
files' fmtutil.cnf
