Hi, I think that, for the next time, it could be a good advice to continue discussing a bug where it has been opened. I think that if a maintainer forwards a bug to the upstream, it's a maintainer task to continue the argument with the author. This to avoid confusion (like the one in this bug). Cheers, francesco
