Package: sane-utils Version: 1.0.15-8 Severity: normal I have two different webcams, a Logitech Quickcam USB and a Philips 740 webcam. When I connect them one at a time, scanimage -l reports them correctly:
scanimage -L device `v4l:/dev/video0' is a Noname Logitech QuickCam USB virtual device scanimage -L device `v4l:/dev/video0' is a Noname Philips 740 webcam virtual device But when I have both of them connected at the same time, scanimage -L reports both webcams as being identical. So I either get: scanimage -L device `v4l:/dev/video1' is a Noname Logitech QuickCam USB virtual device device `v4l:/dev/video0' is a Noname Logitech QuickCam USB virtual device or scanimage -L device `v4l:/dev/video1' is a Noname Philips 740 webcam virtual device device `v4l:/dev/video0' is a Noname Philips 740 webcam virtual device depending on which one was connected last. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.8-andi-1 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages sane-utils depends on: ii adduser 3.63 Add and remove users and groups ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-20 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libieee1284-3 0.2.10-1 cross-platform library for paralle ii libjpeg62 6b-9 The Independent JPEG Group's JPEG ii libsane 1.0.15-8 API library for scanners ii libusb-0.1-4 2:0.1.10a-8 userspace USB programming library -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
