It is a bug in hal because the upload was not timed with a fix to the xorg package. You cannot upload something that breaks severly many systems even if the deeper reason is in another package. I often have to wait for other packages not to break a system before uploading my packages. And the packages do NOT make the whole X system quasi unusable!
