Package: foomatic-filters
Version: 3.0.2-20061031-1.2
Severity: normal

With the recent Ghostscript changes (now gs-esp is a transitional package),
/usr/bin/gs-esp is gone. However, the debconf setting isn't updated to remove
that option, leaving /etc/foomatic/filter.conf with the "gspath: gs-esp"
setting intact. This leads to confusing entries in the CUPS log such as:

D [17/Oct/2007:11:24:31 -0400] [Job 24] foomatic-gswrapper: gs-esp '-dBATCH'
'-dPARANOIDSAFER' '-dQUIET' '-dNOPAUSE' '-sDEVICE=ijs' '-sIjsServer=hpijs'
'-sDeviceManufacturer=HEWLETT-PACKARD' '-sDeviceModel=hp LaserJet 1012'
'-dDEVICEWIDTHPOINTS=612' '-dDEVICEHEIGHTPOINTS=792' '-dDuplex=false' '-r600'
'-sIjsParams=Quality:Quality=0,Quality:ColorMode=0,Quality:MediaType=0,Quality:PenSet=0,PS:MediaPosition=7'
 '-dIjsUseOutputFD' '-sOutputFile=/dev/fd/3' '/dev/fd/0' 3>&1 1>&2
D [17/Oct/2007:11:24:31 -0400] [Job 24] sh: gs-esp: command not found

The bug is that printing breaks when /usr/bin/foomatic-gswrapper sets its
$gspath to gs-esp, which doesn't exist. This means that after the ghostscript
upgrade, anybody using gs-esp will find printing mysteriously broken.

My suggested fix is that gs-esp should be removed as a filter choice in the
debconf information.

I apologize if anything is unclear, I don't file many bugs on Debian things.

(And am now reconfiguring my system to use gs not gs-esp.)
