It still needs some way of indicating to a user *how* to get the program running. It's not good to be so dismissive in bug reports. Glipper does not show up in 'yelp' so the glipper manual can only be viewed after one of two steps has been performed: 1. The user happens across Add To Panel, gets glipper running and then clicks on Help (at which point it's too late) 2. The user tries 'dpkg -L glipper' to see that there is no entry in /usr/bin, there is no man page, there is no desktop file, no debian menu entry, only a help manual that is not accessible unless the user also knows to use 'yelp ghelp:/usr/share/gnome/help/glipper/C/glipper.xml' How is the user supposed to start glipper? There is no harm in having a desktop file and glipper does need one. Other panel applets CAN be launched from a desktop file so this is a bug in glipper. There is no good reason to prevent users from starting the application in a normal way. Feel free to clone this bug as a request to fix the Help content so that the Glipper manual can be located just by clicking on "Panel applets" in the Yelp menu. The Manual should be accessible immediately after the package has been installed so that the user has a chance to work out what is available. -- Neil Williams ============= http://www.data-freedom.org/ http://www.nosoftwarepatents.com/ http://www.linux.codehelp.co.uk/
