Hi This bug has not been forwarded upstream successfully, at least the link does not work and I can't find it upstream.
But on a related note then I found the following closed bug: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1473737&group_id=2055&atid=102055 There the main developer broeker says that this kind of behaviour is not a bug but a limitation of the libc library.
