well I haven't actually tested it as I wanted, but I really can ensure that I never installed any version before 0.3. You asked me to zgrep in dpkg.log* to be really really really sure. I've done that (but i grepped for libnss-ldap so that both packages get included)) and it even shows when I installed libnss-ldap for the first time *and* when I installed libnss-ldapd for the first time, too. I have attached the file.
