Thanks! I tested your image with GRUB yesterday, and the installation works out just fine. When booting it seems like dpt_i2o is loaded before i2o_{block,core}, which gives this error message: iop0: device already claimed iop0: DMA / IO allocation for I2O controller failed ALERT! /dev/i2o/hda1 does not exist. Dropping to a shell! Check your root= boot argument (cat /proc/cmdline) Check for missing modules (cat /proc/modules), or device files (ls /dev/) Busybox ... I checked that dpt_i2o was loaded. I guess dpt_i2o should be added to /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist on the installed system, or? - Werner
