No.

I've removed nfs-common from the nfs root (with fai fixed to export romountopt,
romountopt includes nolock) and client failed again with

        mount: wrong fs type, bad option, ...

According to mount manpage, nfs mount need the binary mount.nfs (or .nfs4)
Both are included in nfs-common in (k)ubuntu.
