Package: ispell Version: 3.1.20.0-4 ispell reorders the words in your personal dictionary without good reason when you have words which only differ in their capitalization. For example, my dictionary contains both "GNUstep" and "gnustep" and ispell always reverses the order of the two. This is really nasty when you maintain your dictionary in a revision control system because it will show a change even though there wasn't really one...
To reproduce, do the following and always press "i" (insert): 1157:[EMAIL PROTECTED]: ~/tmp] cat i1 gnustep GNUstep 1158:[EMAIL PROTECTED]: ~/tmp] cat i2 gnustep GNUstep foobarbaz 1159:[EMAIL PROTECTED]: ~/tmp] cat i3 gnustep GNUstep foobarbaz bazbarfoo 1160:[EMAIL PROTECTED]: ~/tmp] cat words 1161:[EMAIL PROTECTED]: ~/tmp] ispell -p words i1 1162:[EMAIL PROTECTED]: ~/tmp] cat words GNUstep gnustep 1163:[EMAIL PROTECTED]: ~/tmp] ispell -p words i2 1164:[EMAIL PROTECTED]: ~/tmp] cat words foobarbaz gnustep GNUstep 1165:[EMAIL PROTECTED]: ~/tmp] ispell -p words i3 1166:[EMAIL PROTECTED]: ~/tmp] cat words bazbarfoo foobarbaz GNUstep gnustep 1167:[EMAIL PROTECTED]: ~/tmp] -- Martin Michlmayr http://www.cyrius.com/ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
