Could you check whether this is still a problem? If so, perhaps you can
try to make a debug trace, WINEDEBUG=+winsock or something. From what I
can tell, these things will use getaddrinfo (modern, IPv6-aware host
lookup facility), which perhaps does not work properly in 32-bit mode on
your version of libc6?
