Package: irqbalance
Version: 0.55-2
Severity: important

Hi!

It seems that irqbalance isn't creating a PID file in
/var/run/irqbalance.pid

See:

# /etc/init.d/irqbalance start
Starting SMP IRQ Balancer: irqbalance.

# LC_ALL=C ls /var/run/irqbalance.pid
ls: cannot access /var/run/irqbalance.pid: No such file or directory

# /etc/init.d/irqbalance stop
Stopping SMP IRQ Balancer: No irqbalance found running; none killed.
irqbalance.

But it's running:

# pidof irqbalance
21416

Doing another start, we have two irqbalance running:

# pidof irqbalance
21542 21416

And again, stop fails.

Can I do something else to help, please?

Thank you very much!

Best regards,
Nelson
