Hi,
For "~/tarballs/gnome/vala/0.1/vala-0.1.2.tar.gz", git-import-orig
required me to pass the -u switch. All GNOME tarballs use this format,
so it would be nice if this quite common format could be supported in
the upstream version detection code of git-import-orig.
